One day, while pondering the ultimate breakfast treat, I had a eureka moment - why not combine two of the best breakfast foods - cinnamon rolls and waffles? Thus, these Vegan Cinnamon Roll Waffles with Cream Cheese Glaze were born.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1.5 cups almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 0.5 cups vegan butter
  • 0.5 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 cups vegan cream cheese
  • 1 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast with warm almond milk and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the almond milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough is formed.
  4. Let the dough rise for an hour.
  5. Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with some vegan butter.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and press them into the waffle iron, cooking until golden and crisp.
  7. While the waffles are cooking, prepare the glaze by mixing the vegan cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Once the waffles are done, drizzle them with the cream cheese glaze and serve warm.
