This recipe was created by me, as a spin-off from the classic french fries. They were a hit at one of my dinner parties and have since become a staple in my kitchen.
These Avocado Fries were born from my deep love for avocados and my eternal quest to make healthy food taste indulgent. I've served them at many a dinner party to the delight of my guests—vegan and non-vegan alike.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces avocados
- 1 cups breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cups almond milk
- 1 teaspoons chipotle powder
- 1/2 cups vegan mayo
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the avocados into fry-like segments.
- Dust the avocado slices with flour, dip in almond milk, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated avocado slices on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile, mix the vegan mayo with chipotle powder to make the chipotle mayo.
- Serve the crispy avocado fries hot with the chipotle mayo on the side for dipping.
