Superfood Astragalus Porridge

This recipe was born out of a desire to create a nutritious yet delicious alternative to classic oatmeal. It was first concocted in my small vegan kitchen in the heart of Berlin.

I remember serving this at a dinner party once, and everyone was so surprised by the combination of flavours. They thought they were in for a traditional porridge, but boy were they in for a treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoons Astragalus root powder
  • 2 teaspoons Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoons Raw cacao powder
  • 2 cups Oat milk
  • 1 pieces Banana
  • 1/2 cups Blueberries

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat up the oat milk until it simmers. Then, reduce heat.
  2. Blend in the astragalus root powder, chia seeds, raw cacao powder. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Slice the banana into thin pieces.
  4. Pour your porridge into a bowl, and top it with the banana slices and blueberries.
  5. Serve immediately, while it' still warm. Enjoy your journey to healthfulness!
