Crispy Almond-Crusted Tofu with Garlic-Dill Aioli

Servings: 4 | 0 minutes | 250 kcal

This recipe is a fusion of Eastern and Western culinary traditions. Tofu, a staple in Asian cuisine, is combined with the crunchiness of almonds, a popular ingredient in Western cuisine. The garlic-dill aioli adds a Greek touch to the dish.

As a chef, I always enjoy finding creative ways to make Vegan dishes exciting. This recipe was born out of a desire to create a Vegan dish that is not only delicious but also visually appealing and satisfying. And thus, the Crispy Almond-Crusted Tofu was born!

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Tofu
  • 1 cups Almonds
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh dill
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Pepper

Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes and preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 C).
  2. While tofu is pressing, prepare your almonds by adding them to a food processor or blender. Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper and blend into a fine meal. Set aside.
  3. Cut pressed tofu into small rectangles and season both sides with salt and pepper. Then coat in almond meal and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake tofu for 25-30 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  5. While the tofu is baking, prepare your aioli by adding all ingredients to a blender or food processor. Blend until creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  6. Serve tofu with a generous spoonful of garlic-dill aioli. Enjoy!
