Ingredients

  • 400 grams firm tofu
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons peanut butter
  • 2 pieces garlic
  • 1 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 teaspoons chili flakes
  • 1 pieces lime
  • 1 teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove as much moisture as possible.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cut tofu into cubes and toss with cornstarch, olive oil, and soy sauce. Spread out on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until crispy. Turn halfway through for even browning.
  5. While tofu bakes, prepare the spicy peanut sauce. Combine peanut butter, minced garlic and ginger, chili flakes, lime juice, and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly, until smooth and heated through.
  6. Serve tofu with the spicy peanut sauce. Enjoy it over rice or noodles, or as a standalone dish.
